Carla Doyle
Alpharetta, GA
I would like to nominate my friend/neighbor Carla Doyle as her family are dealing with the worst pain anyone could ever feel. The loss of a child - her story begins with Courtney...her first child - of three - Courtney has two younger brothers - Colin and Connor.
This is a story about Courtney Doyle who left us on May 1st 2008 she was 18 years old. Courtney was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2007. The tumor was located on her spine and she went through radiation, chemo, and 4 surgeries. The tumor caused compression on her spine and as a result has her temporarily immobile in both arms and legs. Courtney is a beautiful, God-loving, girl who has a passion for life and is seeking her faith to keep her strong in her fight. With great sadness Courtney lost her battle on May 1st 2008. May God Keep her in his arms!!
Carla is a brave chick who is not afraid to talk or cry.. She is proactive as she is participating in the relay for life in honor of Courtney and is very active in raising money for childhood cancer!! Carla has a long road ahead and I just don't ever want her to forget that she is thought of everyday by family, friends and strangers!!
